Writing & Reading
To me, writing is so many things. It's fun, scary, rewarding, aggravating, etc. I have read over and over from great writers that the most important thing to do is sit and write. So I do—pretty much every day. I prefer early mornings because the world hasn't come in yet and fought for my attention.
I like to read and write everyday. I read all kinds of books, but I mainly write books for children 6 to 12 years old. I have learned to write in lots of different places. I just do my best and know that my intentions in writing are pure and that whatever I write will be revised. So my motto: Be true and lighten up!
